• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

I bought a Cyfre DBSW819 with external/internal antennas earlier this year.

The first time I tried it out it was one of those March days when a CF had just passed, winds were howling from the N, and I was headed E on a two-lane (towards OK). Twice within a half hour a truck passed by going W, and the wash (most intense in those conditions) blew the mag-mount over.

So, I got a better antenna with a stronger magnet, an ASPRDM1994M.

However, I have a small-ish coupe, and the internal and external antennas MUST be placed at least 6 feet apart horizontally, according to the owner's manual. There is no way for me to get them 6 feet apart with my small car.

Because of that, apparently, I saw no difference in the performance of my Verizon data card in my laptop, nor any difference in the performance of my Verizon cellphone, with or without the booster powered. I tested it several times.

The unit has therefore only been used for a dozen hours of so, and is in like-new condition, as are the antennas. I paid $321.90 for it, including shipping. I will sell for $220, including shipping, and will include the two external antennas and internal "paddle" antenna. i.e., everything I ever received with/for this kit. It plugs into your 12V "cigarette lighter" outlet, and there is also an alternative bare-wire harness.

Pay with PayPal and I will ship next day (USA), or with personal check I will ship 7 days after I receive the check.

If you want pics, I can do that. PM me!

Bob

Yes, the $150 price includes shipping. Two people have now contacted me who are wanting to buy it, so it's apparently "sold".

Thanks, guys!
