good morning,

just started my trial of Eurowx models, looks like a well done program, i usually use twisterdata.com. wondering if anyone else uses Eurowx and what they think of it.

I haven't used EuroWx myself as I have a subscription to WeatherBELL Analytics where I get the ECMWF, which is one of many other model choices. I do know the owner Andy is a reputable guy who wouldn't provide a sub par subscription, so at least you can hang your hat on that. Plus you get a free seven day trial to evaluate it, so if you don't like it you can walk away unscathed.

Just signed up for WeatherBELL also, looked it up thru google and thought it looks like a great site so I signed up. now if only we can have some interesting weather here in the chicago illinois area or close by to check out both of them...EuroWx and WeatherBELL.

EuroWx seems to have more parameters, but the resolution is far lower than what you'll get with WxBell.

For $9/month EuroWX is a steal... I've subscribed since shortly after it came out and it is nice. It's really nice since he's added the different sectors so you can get closer and resolution has come up more on the images. There are other great sites for the other models so I personally don't see a need to pay for them, but I can certainly see the value for some. For me it is spending a few bucks to get ECMWF access.

I hope you opted for a one month subscription Brian, as I've come and gone three or four times there. My best advice is go through those links carefully on the main model page, especially the ECMWF BETA link you see there. Dr. Maue has really created a gem of model collections, way more than I can use, but your mileage may vary. One nagging thing for me are the broken links at the top of the page once you drill down into a single map out of a series.

The commentary from the four experts are good too, but you have to pay very close attention to follow the logic, and sometimes the point being made isn't crystal clear. On the other hand, there are excellent and informative posts on the blogs, you just have to look until you find an interesting topic. The forums are pretty lame though. They used to have commenting enabled below the blog posts but they stopped that and there's been a few who didn't like it, but what can you do? Overall I hope you get what you came for.

they have a 7 day trial period as well, hopefully i will decide if i like it enough to stay during that period. so far it seems very nicely done.

I like the EuroWX quick and easy navigation. Ton of maps over at WeatherBell, but quickly getting to what you want can be a challenge. It would be nice to have your own start page of favorites.

I know this is an old thread, but I'll add that the resolution of EuroWX.com has increased since it was originally launched. Also, we have recently added textual data tables for any point within the domain. Enter a city, state, latitude, longitude or ICAO (METAR ID) and you'll get a table of almost all the calculations for that point through the entire cycle.

So you can pull up your 10 day forecast and easily see when it's going to snow or rain, how much, wind speeds, etc. Here's a screen shot:
