EF 5 simulation

Yes, I have seen this video before. It is pretty awesome. It really gives you a decent idea of what is happening with the winds at different levels of a supercell. I love these types of videos.

I saw this video a couple of months ago as well. It is nothing short of awesome. A few things stand out to my untrained eye. First, most of the vorticity appears to be environmental or baroclinically generated along the FFD. Second, any vorticity originating in the RFD appears to be very turbulent and may not be contributing much (if at all) to the tornado. However, the RFD appears to forced around and downward despite it's positive bouancy. The higher potential temperature perturbations seem to be correlated with the RFD surges and could be enhancing vertical motions. I really hope we see more of this type of simulation.
