Pretty classic violent tornado...I am pretty sure this is the strongest tornado to have occurred in recorded history that far north (at least for North America). It was pretty devastating. I remember seeing that classic Edmonton tornado pic and having to do a double take on where it occurred. Here is an interesting paper concerning Alberta tornadoes.

The industrial portion of the city took a big hit. Hopefully we don't have any oil refineries hit by tornadoes any time soon. Imagine if the tornado path were a kilometer or two further west in much more densely populated areas of the city. As bad as the OKC tornado was, nudge that path a little north and it would have been far worse too.
