While these HD videos were created with the more expensive K7, it is worth noting that HD video (1280x720 HD video capture at 24 fps) is also available on the more affordable sibling K-x (Amazon price for body + excellent optical quality kit lens: $521).

Videographers/filmmakers may want to keep in mind that Pentax DSLRs can take any K-mount lens back to the mid-70s and any m42 (screwmount) lens back to the beginning of time (almost) with an inexpensive adapter.
As a bonus, K-x reviewers say that it has the best high-ISO performance of any "entry level" DSLR. Some say its high-ISO outperforms its big brother K7 (to the consternation of k7 owners).
