Just last year in 2024, Kodak released a brand new Super-8 film-camera,
the kind that's famous for "home movies."

Currently, the price for the above camera hovers near $5500,
while the film below runs around $40 to $65 for 50 ft. of film.

I've noticed that film makers that shoot the "real" movies you see in the theater or on your favorite monitor like to use a Super 8 "look" for the dreamy, grainy, or "character-filled" memory shots. A niche aesthetic, but it can definitely set one's work apart from the crowd if you've got the money to spend!
