Bios Weather Station

Not sure on the manufacturer, but anyone looking for a cheap weather station, www.woot.com has one today for $60. Although im still looking, never heard of the manufacturer.

It appears Thermor is a Canadian company which makes a small range of consumer grade electronic measuring devices.

Looking at some of the tolerances, it appears you'd get what you paid for. Some of the things that stood out to me:

*Pressure +/- 4 mb
*Wind speed only measures up to 60mph
*updates every 128 seconds

I'd personally pass on it.

I think for home use, which is what it's apprently intended for, would work just fine. Shade the temp sensor, and you're fine.
As for the anenmometer, it wouldn't be too hard to retool the software to 'think' differently. This is the case with the Inspeed sensors, their software is limited because of its sampling rate, not because the device can't allow you to detect faster speeds. My software for the Inspeed sensor works to about 1600mph now.

Yuck, yeah I looked at Thermor....doesnt look like a "big", or reliable company, but im sure it would work fine for an average home user, not into weather as much as me :D
