Any chance we can do beginner forcast threads since this is the noob learning area?

I think that would be a great way to learn from each other. I would like to toss around some ideas with other users, especially about days like tomorrow. I just don't want to get into trouble.

I would think it would be fine just to start one up here in the beginner forum. I would just say title it the same as the regular forecast area and you should be good.

I would encourage those new to forecasting to post their forecasts and forecast questions in this forum (Introductory weather and chasing) and solicit critiques, or ask direct questions about their forecast. Others can chime in with suggestions or answers.

If we are to put them in this forum, maybe it would be better then to create a subforum in here (call it Beginner Forecasts) for them, otherwise I see the main forum getting cluttered. Unlike the main Target area, I would think each person would want to create their own thread, since there will inevitably be variations of dates and locations, especially with beginners, the further out you try to forecast. Individual threads would also be easier and less confusing to critique.

thanks guys I just want to make sure I'm inline with things after the recent changes... I know I pretty useless in the Target forum, but still wouldn't mind having my ideas raked over the coals once in a while.

I have to say that that sounds like a very nice idea. I would love to see what everyone has to say. I have dabbled in forecasting for a few months now and I am just finally "vaguely grasping" some concepts. I doubt that I would post about my logic in forecasting I would still like to see if what others were saying lined up with my own notions.

No problem -- we'll support you as best as we can. I don't see any need for beginner forecast threads to have their own sub-forum yet unless they start displacing the regular threads here frequently.
