August 5 2009 Idaho Lightning

Ive been getting lucky this year for Night time lightning. With a DSLR I am spending zero time waiting for image processing, thus taking a ton of photos.

No severe reported on this evening, however the lightning was intense with one bolt occuring less than 100 feet away. I could hear heavy rain moving my way and ran inside the house, within 10 seconds of stepping inside I saw a flash and then heard the explosion immediately, something in my house beeped, I thought maybe a Lightning surge protector or whatever they are, but never found anything. First time in a while that lightning scared me. lol.
