I saw this posted on Facebook, but I figured I'd pass it along since it's kind of neat.

NOAA's EVL has created a nice month-long loop of IR satellite data with tornado reports --> http://www.nnvl.noaa.gov/MediaDetail.php?MediaID=731&MediaTypeID=2 . It's pretty neat to watch the parade of extratropical cyclones cross the central and eastern United States. The loop plays a bit fast to wait the details, though, and I wish there was a way to adjust playback speed.

I haven't watched this loop yet, however... Large-scale weather patterns can be among the most interesting things in nature, on a planetary (or on a continental scale in our case) level.
