I know this is a very taboo subject when it comes to chasing but I do have a legit use for them. I work for a Historic railroad and sometimes I do track work. The track work is near a very busy road. This is where I plan on using them, NOT while chasing.

I figured I would ask here since some of you have expereince with them. This is what I'm looking at installing.

I would also like to wire it up where I can use my dash buttons to turn them on/flash pattern

The ones on the left are available.

If the above products are of poor quality and if there is better out there, what should I go with?

Thanks!

I've used Strobesnmore.com for our trucks at work. (Flagging, machines on road) Pretty good prices and good customer service. Going to be getting some of thier E6 series lights for my personal truck soon. Bright as hell and cheaper than Whelen.

Their website lists all colors as "Out of Stock" so you'll probably have to shop somewhere else. I do know that their lightbars are cheap Chinese knockoffs...you get what you pay for. I did some checking and I have to agree with N Parker that strobesnmore.com has the best prices on strobe systems, including some name brands such as Whelen. As far as using them while chasing is concerned, if you are worried about getting hit while parked on the side of the road when working, wouldn't the same worry apply when parked on the side of the road while chasing, especially if it is during inclement weather? I have no problem using my lightbar (at least the rear flashers on it) under such circumstances.

Strobes are dated and take power, with the price on LED's they retain their color and do not have a strobe wash and use very little power. And they are rated to last way longer than a strobe tube.

Whelen Vertex LED strobes are impressive. Very small, you can hide them in almost any light on the vehicle, built in flasher with multiple patterns, use very little power, and last darn near forever, and not very expensive.
