• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

*edit* Just figured out the problem, am now polling http://warnings.allisonhouse.com for warnings polygons. Guess COD went down today.

I've also noticed something weird about all NWS feeds in general, both via NWS servers and Allison House:

1. No VIL on most sites.

2. No Echo Tops on most sites.

3. BR 2.5 and 3.5 tilts not loading. BV 2.5 & 3.5 tilts not loading. Not sure if 1, 2, & 3 are related to severe mode scanning at the radar sites.

4. Storm attributes not always showing up (at all). There's a placefile for this, but I liked having the hail icons. Don't think this is AllisonHouse related, I get this problem on NWS servers too.

Change your warning server to http://warnings.allisonhouse.com/ (View - Warning Settings). After that the warnings should appear again. COD doesn't expect to be back up and running until ~7:00am central time.

Thank you thank you thank you, That was too easy. It was a little surreal out there today wondering why NWS would not warn that storm........

Here is the reason for the warning outings on GRlvl3. The default feed for the warnings uses servers at Collage of DuPage and on both the 18th and 19th they will be down due to construction at the campus.

College of DuPage Temporary Power, IT and Telephone Disruption May 18 to 19
The following temporary shutdowns will occur as a result of ongoing construction work at the College of DuPage Glen Ellyn campus:
• A 12-hour power shutdown of the SRC is scheduled for Tuesday evening, May 18, starting at 6 p.m. and ending Wednesday morning, May 19, at 6 a.m.
• All College IT systems will be down starting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 18. These systems will not be restored until approximately 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 19.
• Although general power will be available in the TEC and HSC, there will be no telephone service in the TEC and HSC except for the Emergency Telephone Units.
NOTE: The power shutdown will affect the entire SRC. No power will be available from the normal ComEd power feed or onsite generators.

If you have questions, please contact Scott Fotré, Energy Manager, at (630) 942-4225 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting (630) 942-4225 end_of_the_skype_highlighting or Rod Schlenker, Program Manager, at (630) 942-4034 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting (630) 942-4034 end_of_the_skype_highlighting.

We apologize for any inconvenience this interruption in services may cause. Thank you for your cooperation.

Ryan, are you on the latest version of GR3? Should be version 1.75. I'm wondering if maybe you aren't up to date and aren't seeing some of the new data... Though that wouldn't explan the other going away necessarily...

Yeah, downloaded the lastest version of GR3 just before I switched to Allisonhouse. Not sure what the deal is. Glad I have the warning sorted out, but the other data issues are persisting.
