8/4/09 REPORTS: WV/OH/KY/IN/TN

These are all upward-moving lightning flashes to the WVAH TV tower near St. Albans, WV this morning (Tuesday the 4th), shot with a 1300mm telephoto lens. A weakening MCS passing through provided eight strikes in about 15 minutes.

I bought the new lens last week for this purpose, I only had to wait four days to try it out.

I had an awesome lightning photo op just a little while ago down here in S Missouri. I am currently on a family trip in Eminence and was able to get some semi-decent lightning shots from the deck of our room at the lodge we are staying at.
