A very nice looking tornado warned cell is now slowly moving south through SW Nebraska. Very strong but broad couplet NW of Imperial.

I was looking at this on GRL2A and the warned area in Nebraska didn't have a single return in the box. That had to be a one fast moving storm!

On a topic related side note there is a fairly good looking supercell developing to the south of ICT. A bit unorganized right now but it's coming along fast. I guess a few more hours and it might be something interesting. I'll be heading out to spot about that time, until then I'll be on the front porch.

I've been watching the storm just south of ICT and it's been dying off as quick as it formed. However, a tower exploded just W of Kingman and went svr-warned in about 15 minutes. It looks promising on radar, but convection has begun to rapidly develop around the original cell. As predicted, we'll probably see lots of MCSs this evening. Even though it's a long shot, I was hoping that something would remain discreet for awhile.

Oh well, I may head that way shortly anyway. It's the off-season and I'll take whatever I can get. ;)

That cell moving south along the NE/CO border is a beast. Warnings keep continue to indicate a tornado on the ground with softball size hail in it too. Looks like Wheeler and Saint Francis are about to take the brunt of it in the next couple of minutes...

Spotters in Goodland, KS report a tornado on the ground just north of town. Moving south at a pretty quick clip. That monster cell still looks pretty robust. Also tornado warnings in Barton county heading toward Great Bend and in Kingman county heading toward the Argonia/Milan area. Busy evening!

very nice looking sup south of kingman with a good hook and V-notch, to me, this storm is in the best environment, although one healthy of a beast up near GLD that has already produced a tornado.

Might want to add OK. to this thread. Storm is maintaining decent mid level rotation as the cell that rampaged through Kingman Co. with large hail and a confirmed rope tornado is now is entering Grant Co. OK. TOR watch issued for parts of north central and eastern OK. Hail spikes earlier seen on radar with the Grant Co. storm has lessened some now but still is harboring some windshield cracking stones. My guess is that this cell will probably follow the boundary seen on Vance's site and start turning more SE pretty soon.. More cells rapidly firing west of P28, may become discrete supercells briefly before morphing into one angry MCS that I think will affect the greater OKC area by 07Z.

Might want to add CO as well. Tremendous explosive developement over the Denver metro right now. TOR warning for the SW burbs right now.
