Quite an unusual and unsettled weather pattern has settled in to the Pacific Northwest. After two consecutive days of severe storms, including observing three funnel clouds in the Seattle metro area, today appears to be the most promising of them all.
SPC notes 2% TOR risk over the area, but I expect the higher terrain off the Cascade Mtns towards the Yakima Valley could be in for a good round of SVR storms later this afternoon and overnight.
Will target eastern King/Pierce counties in WA, followed by a trip over Chinook Pass towards the city of Yakima.
