Wow that is strong. Both the storm relative and the base on the NWS radar look the same. There has got to be a really big tornado either on the ground or developing with that kind of a sig. If it keeps its course and holds together it will run straight into Beaumont, Tx.

Edit: looks like it ran into the line of junk out ahead of it and stopped rotating. Such a dramatic yet short-lived meso. The cell on the SW side of the metro area might be one to watch as well. On the loop im seeing a persistant crescent moon shape to the precip core with the hook side of the storm beginning to stick out a little more with the 2 most recent frames and just a slight nudge of rotating.

Nice sup south of Dallas/Ft.Worth metro in Hill County out there all by itself. Nice TVS sig on it drifting to the E at 10 mph.

NOW: MS

west/central MS...large bow is currently crossing the MS river...two tornado watches are in effect covering the western half of MS...

MLCAPES 500-1000 in the area, and there are some single cell storms breaking through the cap in north MS...there arent severe, and givin the limited shear in the area, i dont exepct them to become severe...the bow crossing the MS river has had signifigant wind damage reported as well as a possible tornado with people trapped in homes...

effective helicity values only around 100, and by the look of the storms...dont look like a major tornado threat...

currently there are turkey towers going up around our area...and a strong cell west of houston...i may be going out to investigate any cells should they become severe...
