5/1/06 REPORTS: TX

I caught up with the severe cells today in Young and Stephens county of North Texas. These cells had some nice structure but struggled to ever get cranking too much out of control. Kept hearing reports of funnels and even brief touchdowns but I believe these were "sherrifnadoes" etc. I wouldnt be totally surprised if there was a brief landspoutish type spinup but I doubt it.
I did get some decent lightning pics of these cells West of Graham and my chase partner got some just outright AMAZING lightning shots. Ill try to add those along with my pics later this week or so at http://www.texhomastormchasers.com

CoD was out on these storms as well.

Nothing to report other than pretty pictures. We too heard several locals talking about "rotation" but we never saw any. Great lightning show!
