Really, there's no forecast thread for today yet? Guess it is time to start one. Not great potential, but if enough clearing can occur, I think there is an outside chance of something interesting in southern or extreme eastern IL and nearby areas this afternoon - especially early on once the storms re-intensify. Right now the sun is out bright in Edwardsville, so maybe we will get some decent clearing - looks like a decent slot of clearing ahead in southeast MO now ahead of the scattered convection along the cold front. Right now, the RUC seems more bullish on southern IL than the NAM, but since I can watch this from home then head southeast ahead of the storms if the situation appears to warrant, I will be keeping a close eye the next few hours on how things evolve.
