Had a nice squall line come through Central Florida. wind gust of 85 MPH recorded at Space Center. Also reports up to 2-inch hail in Brevard county from earlier discrete. That cell passed close by to Florida Tech, and all I saw was some lightning, rain, gusty winds. The squall line tossed up a trashcan lid and seemed to gust around 55-60 or so. Melb. airport had 59, so that seems about right.
One student living nearby collected some quarter-inch hail for a pic. Probably will be some news stories forthcoming.
One tornado reported as well in Sumpter county, but haven't seen anything about it yet. SPC has LA one at Ef-0.
