It appears that we have some activity along the warm front this morning. Hail will be the main threat with an increasing instability levels though I cant rule out an isolated surface based storm as the morning continues. I expect we will have an active day all day today.

Tor-warned cell's hook passing near Greensboro, AL (seems like towns named Greensboro lately getting a disproportionate amount of tornado threats).

NW-NC MS needs to be watched closely now, just pushed out a Tornado watch for that area. Also the latest RUC showing impressive CAPE values around 2500 (j/kg), also seeing 0-3KM Shear running about 40-50kts on my model, also 0-1KM EHI running around 400. My smartmodel showing potential to see an F3 type Tornado in this region. My highest threat city is Greenwood and Greenville, MS. Thoughts on this area..

Several supercells now in northern MS. None are tornado warned at this time but there is definitely some rotation to watch. New Albany really needs to watch it as a meso appears it may be heading that way. That cell seems to have the best couplet right now. It is going to pass over the town itself or just slightly south probably by 7:50pm eastern

Watching the cell near Rocky Ford GA, it had a nice hook and I started to pick up two areas of rotation. GR2AE had two good rotation points about 2335z for several minutes good chance two tornadoes on the ground south west of Rocky Ford area at that point. Storm has dropped off with all areas of rotation.

A very severe storm just north of the Birmingham, AL are. AT 834 PM CDT...TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED A LARGE TORNADO! THIS TORNADO WAS LOCATED NEAR SUMITON...MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH. Right in the zone of the 0-3KM Shear, which latest output on the RUC showing around 45kts in that region, definetly support for a dangerous tornado in that area.

A large and dangerous tornado tracking through a fairly populated area north of birmingham.
