Interested to hear advanced dissection of the tornadic event that has unfolded in the far south, rural KC Metro area the last 90 minutes. A single supercell triggered by the cold front placement (per local weatherpeople) has produced a fairly long track tornado of varying size based on media reports and has caused damage. Event is ongoing currently.

I just got to a computer and saw what happened a few minutes ago. Based on this MD http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/md/md1817.html it sounds like an outflow boundary was responsible for the low level shear that was able to produce this tornado, along with some modest cape and decent upper level winds to keep the updraft organized. The cold front that produced this storm must have hung back just enough as to not undercut the updraft. Basically, outflow boundaries can = magic if a few other things come into place. I'd like to see a radar loop of this storm and I am sure anyone who was watching the storm live on radar might be able to add more insight.
 
This situation appeared similar to the OKC tornado back in March. The storm went up slightly ahead of/on the actual front, and the inflow was able to actually wrap the boundary back westward. You can see this on radar as the cold front develops a kink right at the hook echo. The storm essentially captures the frontal boundary and modifies its shape.
