2015-05-07 Reports: KS, NE, OK, TX

@Jenn Brindley, @Phil Bates and I intercepted a large, multi facted tornado northeast of Decatur, TX last night. Same as Hank's there above. We let it cross highway 380 in front of us while it was still rain wrapped in its early stages: a mean green core with a darker green column just barely visible in front of us with some howling inflow winds. Once it crossed the highway, the rain cleared out and a multi vortex tornado quickly filled in as a wedge before transitioning into several different configurations as it moved northeast including a cone, multi-vortex with satellites and finally a stovepipeas it roped out and became rain wrapped again. Structure under the tornado cyclone was exquisite. A surprise ending to a day of consisting of largely sloppy, watery updrafts, and surging gust fronts:

The above is just a quick preview off the camcorder. Phil and Jenn were the ones that really nailed the shot, with full frame stills and tripodded footage shot in 6k raw on a Red Dragon.
