This photo was taken in Mineola, Texas located about 50 miles east of Dallas. It is an embryonic supercell, seething with lower clouds racing north at tremendous speeds, while upper upper clouds billowed east and southeast also at high speeds. The actual cold front was located far to the west and northwest across central Oklahoma into N.W. Texas.

Due to lack of upper level atmospheric support, the cloud tops never exceeded about 15K feet and began to collapse around sunset.

Never the less, it felt wonderful to go out and chase again.
