Since the weather's so slow right now, I figured I'd post my chase video from a couple Fridays ago. We started the day in Childress, TX with an initial target on Altus, OK where the morning NAM had a nice sweet spot of cape and shear. But during the afternoon it became clear that the cold front was gonna be where the action was. We ended up intercepting the line of storms north of Elk City. Embarrassingly, we were just south of Putnam doing timelapse when the brief tornado dropped to our north. We totally missed it, must have been messing with cameras at just the wrong second. Also saw some marginal supercell structure near New Cordell (RFD clear slot at least). All in all, we had a nice time just getting chased across the wilderness by the line.
