This is the annual sticky thread for posting conferences, workshops, symposiums, lectures, etc. In the past it was thought that it was easier to post one running list rather than encouraging users to create numerous threads where the information could get easily buried. This thread will remain open and visible until the end of the season.
Procedures: Post basic information about a workshop, lecture, symposium, conference, etc. here, along with a link (if available), and a moderator will add it to the list below. It is preferable that you create or post a basic synopsis that includes the topic, date, time(s) and location of the event. We will organize them in descending order by date as new additions are received/posted.
You may only post bona fide weather-related events. Basic and Advanced NWS spotter training sessions need not be posted here, as those are readily available on NWS websites.

August 4–6, 2011 - 15th Annual High Plains Conference
This annual conference in 2011 will be sponsored by both the Wichita and High Plains Chapters of the AMS/NWA and be held at the Wichita Marriott in Wichita, Kansas. Details will be posted at http://www.wichita-amsnwa.org/
