I was driving out west on I-80 to Omaha this morning and probably somewhere close to Adair ran into extremely heavy rain. When I punched through the back side of the storm traffic slowed to a crawl and soon I saw that there were three semis overturned in about a 200 yard stretch of highway. One was heading east and was blown north into the margin between east and westbound lanes. The other two were heading west and also blown off the to the north. My guess is that there must have been a microburst. I don't see any report of this on the SPC page, although there is a report of a possible microburst in Cromwell, IA much further to the south, so maybe the atmosphere was conducive to the phenomena this morning.
