Mods: I didn't know exactly where to post this as it does relate to weather but not so much as chasing as well as winter weather. Please feel free to move if needed, I didn't know the best place.

As some of you know Saturday was a crazy day here in Oklahoma specifically very close to my house. In fact, my family and I were evacuated for a short time as the wildfire here on the north side of Mannford came very close (less than half a block away!) from our home. I have posted the video below via you tube. I did not get a chance to go back over data but as is usual with this type of weather set up we had temps in the 70s and very low humidity values (not sure how low or what the dew point was during the afternoon) Winds picked up late morning and by 11am and were gusting to 20mph or so by afternoon. This was pretty scary event because as we all know when there is a fire that close to you there really is not much you can do. I watered down the yard as quickly as I could with the sprinkler and just left it on the whole time we were gone! If anyone has any data or stories such as this feel free to share them. Thanks,
Lan

Wow close call very happy to hear your family and property was not affected. Excellent video as always!

No kidding, glad everything ended up being ok...

Here is some data from the day that I dug up (courtesy of wunderground.com)

There is more specific data toward the bottom. Looks like the humidity got down to 12%

Glad to hear that you, the family, and your home are ok. Scary stuff, especially seeing the trees crowning. We've seen some pretty destructive wildfire events in the foothills west of DEN, and it's always amazing (in a bad way) to see how fast and destructive these events can be. I guess the one upside of the big snow you'll be getting is that the fire danger should hopefully ease for a while.
