Saw three small brief tornadoes south of Lubbock near highway 211 east of highway 87, and a large dusty, almost tornadic circulation under a wall cloud in the same area that Al Moller drove through. He reported that his car was jerked around by the wind as gravel, sand and crop debris pelted the side of his vehicle as he drove through the circulation.

Here's an image of the storm during its early stages as the first HP updraft formed.

One of the small tornadoes chased us down a dirt road after the highway was blocked by the developing tornado to the east, and hail to the west.

Here is an image of the storm a few minutes later. Note the dust in the field to the right of the road. That's left from the dissipating small tornado that decided to follow us down the road.

Later we drove east of Post on highway 380 and watched a several HP supercells pass by to the west and northwest, followed by a gustfest near Rotan. Here are a few lightning shots:

Also shot storm structure and wall clouds, which will follow in a few days on my website.

After having chased both Saturday and Sunday I had returned to home to Dallas early that morning in hopes of saving out on hotel costs. Turns out that cost cutting measure was useless. I left Dallas 2:30 PM and by 7:30 PM I was sitting in Aspermont, Tx as the HP supercell outta hell came rolling in. I stayed on the southeastern most part of the cell by utilizing Highways 380 and 283 until I got to Stamford, Tx where I shot the majority of the video shown below. After shooting that video I headed up Highway 277 where I entered Haskell as the supercell was in full force. I encountered winds easily exceeding 60 MPH as I observed a powerflash a few hundred feet down the highway along with large limbs being thrown about. The mesonet station in town recorded a 71 MPH gust.

You can view the video here.

This afternoon I arrived north of Abilene,TX and made my way up to between Clairemont and Post to witness a really nice rotating storm. It almost gave me a full show: wall cloud, wall cloud w/ funnel, rain and hail. Later on in the day I moved south to north of Gail,TX in Bordon county where I was essentially surrounded by storms. I found a hilltop and sampled all three catching a distant funnel to my east.

This was my old stomping grounds and it sure felt nice to be able to see the sights in that area of the state again although only briefly.

We were near the storm in Wilson, TX. The consensus was this was a Gustnado as it was near the Gust front:

I did not see any well defined wall cloud underneath this. Here are more circulations that developed later:

Also caught an accidental lightning shot in the middle of the day:

After the chase a nice mammatus display:
