Had an impromptu chase come to me tonight in Locust Grove, GA. I was coaching my son's baseball game when we stopped for lightning. I could see the storm off in the distance to my NW. The game was called and the chase was on with only my iPhone as my camera and radar.

Took a few pictures of the storm from the ball park then jumped in the truck with my wife and son. We stayed in front of the storm for about 20 minutes. The whole time the cell did not have any rotation but had great inflow. The cell was moving S with a nice shelf cloud out in front. The inflow appeared to enter the base on the north side which would place it on the backside. Kind of strange. Did see some scud being drawn upward most of the entire time I was on the storm.

edit: all the pics can be seen on my FB page. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?p...=4909362#/album.php?aid=2015575&id=1202536036

Wasn't quite sure which thread to post this under since there is two for this day. GA is closer anyway :D. This is just a little shot of a storm, weak for the most part in WV just to the SE of Athens, OH taken atop of our lab. This is my first attempt of a panorama and I think it turned out fairly well. Would like to have a better size though. Just thought I would share it. Enjoy.
