Dad worked with Civil Defense spotting storms and tornadic weather and Mom was net control during many a severe weather event, so it was only natural that I became interested in weather upon moving to GA.

How do you feel about the current state of storm chasing?
It is what it is…there will always be a new breed of chaser, as years go by. I am a “Twister”movie era chaser. Each year brings a new facet.
Which era of chasing would you prefer to exist? Old-school or new-school?
Old school…you worked for your passion

Yes, I avoid if possible.

While storm chasers have the knowledge of what a storm is going to do (in most cases), law enforcement has a job to do. Locals, should just stay home and take cover and leave this to “professionals.”
