Bio: Even with the setbacks of life, my low numbers of tornadoes mean so much more. With every storm, tornado and blue sky bust, an enjoyment of exploring the beauty of the world we live in. Take what you can get and enjoy while you can.

When did you decide you wanted to storm chase?
Growing up in Southern Oklahoma I was around so many tornadoes that it started early, but I did not start until my children were older.
Do you prefer to chase alone or with a group?
I enjoy a good solo chase, but over the last 3 years have enjoyed some good chases with Chad Vandever.
What are your favorite areas to chase? Least favorite?
Favorite: western Texas, Kansas, Nebraska and anywhere in Oklahoma. Least: Any metro area and Mississippi.
What is your most memorable chase? Least memorable?
Favorite: Feb. 10th 2009, Lone Grove EF-4 and April 14th 2012 Outbreak. Least: April 26th 2009, May 25th 2012.
What date burns in you (think bust) and why?
April 26th. Never had any luck on that date.
Have you ever been to ChaserCon?
One day I will!
Do you consider the day a success even if you don’t witness a tornado?
I love all parts of storm chasing, even a bust is another chance to learn to improve one’s forecasting skills.
Would you considering getting your children into storm chasing?
My youngest son (16 at the time) has chased with me twice so far, on May 30th 2013 in Southern Oklahoma, and on May 31 2013 in Central Oklahoma.
What do you fear most about a storm?
Being alone on a storm and getting stuck in mud or breaking down in front of a tornado.
Do you stop your progress toward a storm for a great photography opportunity?
Yes, I love storm structure.
Do you have a family that supports storm chasing?
My wife hates it.
How long do you plan on chasing?
Until they tie me down in the nursing home!!!
