Gustnado: Mankato Minnesota Sunday, May 24, 2026

Count it! for chasing, not necessarily official though. Seems to have spun up from the ground which is gustnado.

Any sort of even small funnel up in the cloud? If so landspouts do count officially. I saw a good base, and maybe a flash of a WC when two gustnadoes were down. If even a small FC one of those may be a landspout tornado.

Either way, nice work!

Thanks Jeff.

I'm not a meteorologist, & not even certain if you were asking me, but I did notice something a little earlier in the video. If you pause @ 6:35-6:36 could that possibly be a cone to the upper left ? Also an area of interest upper right.

Regardless of what it was, I'm very pleased to have had the opportunity to capture/witness it.
