With Felicia now reaching major hurrican status with winds estimated at 115mph she has garned my attention since the ATL season is so quiet. My first attempt at posting a forecast so any feedback is appreciated.

Even with SST dropping on her current projected path I still think the Hawaiian Islands will be brushed by some near hurrican strength gusts if not winds from this storm. I think the high will dominate a little more than expected to push the storm more SW than West towards the end of the forecast period as well. This track is a little more southern (in warmer waters) than what is projected, and is what makes me think it will keep a little more strength.

All in all should be some good swells for the surfers generated in the next few days.

Any other thoughts

Good day all,

dude ... this is an ANNULAR HURRICANE!

Wow (I wish I was fish)...

The remnants of Felicia's center eventually directly passed over Oahu on the 12 August. I left a camera taking pictures every 5 seconds from my apartment. The resulting cloud motions in time-lapse reveal the shift from NE winds to light westerlies to almost calm, brief southerlies and then a quick transition to southeaterlies:
