Weather balloon shuts down portion of Downtown Atlanta

    Atlanta, GA May 17, 2018: Multiple media outlets have reported that a radiosonde launched by NWS Peachtree City landed near the Georgia state capital and caused police to close down a portion of downtown Atlanta until it was determined that the "suspicious package" was a "weather balloon".
