Hey friends! How can I see spotter reports for a given day? Where is that compiled? Trying to get the location of a tornado based on spotter reports for that day!

Try the SPC reports which are broken down by tornado, hail (including large), and wind. This link http://www.spc.noaa.gov/climo/online/ will take you to today's and yesterday's reports, with a searchable box for days in the past. You can also view filtered and unfiltered reports for the whole shooting match if that's what you're after, but note the reports are preliminary for a length of time. The FAQ there might answer some of your more specific questions. The reports include the location and source with pertinent comments about the event, such as who reported it.

Now if you're looking for SN reports for a given day I'd say go to the SN website, but I've never searched around there myself for days in the past. Maybe one of our expert spotters can chime in on that particular facet of event reporting.

I don't think SN's reports are available to the public.
