Meteorologists: Leave storm chasing to the experts

I've seen this article making the rounds as the latest anti-chaser spiel, but I didn't find it to be all that bad. If anything, *we* are the experts on storm structure and meteorology out there in the field. If anything, it's a nod toward us and against the opportunistic/locals saying that only the knowledgeable and experienced should be out there. Although I'm sure not all will agree with that assessment.

Worthless fluff piece. Poorly written, spelling errors, etc. Agree it’s basically telling the locals to stay home and not risk their lives getting pictures. Not really attacking “real” storm chasers, whether amateur or professional.

It's probably more of a "Do you drive a $60,000 tricked out, wrapped chase ride?" EXPERT.
"Do you have 15 years or more experience than the chaser in the $60,000 tricked out chase ride_but_drive a 20-year-old beater?" AMATEUR
