When I was chasing the Tipton tornado yesterday, I saw a few chasers that had some homemade looking cages on their car roofs in order to keep their windows from being smashed out by hail. I want to build one for my car because of my experience yesterday. I positioned myself really far from the tornado yesterday. Even though I had taken E1750 Rd right into Elmer, I didn't stay there because I was worried about being hammered. Instead I positioned myself on the west side of Tipton, and I could only see the tornado for a few minutes from that distance. That was a very frustrating experience, because I was being overprotective about the chance of being hit by baseball hail. So I want to build a hail cage for my car, and I'm wondering if any of you have done this. I have a 2007 Toyota Camry. How did you do it? How much was it? How long did it take? What materials did you use? If there's already a thread that deals with this, would someone please direct me to it?

    Thanks
    David
