Dr. Ted Fujita knew about these vorticies in hurricanes long ago. Science however moves slow like representative government, which is usually an advantage. Fujita knew before Andrew. However science requires gathering repeated formal evidence. Like with the Microburst, Dr. Fujita is being proved right again. Microbursts went from laughs, to Wind Shear Warning System at every airport!
Another strategy is the WaPo summarizes their articles on Twitter. Ditto NYT and WSJ. I save my free WaPo articles for weather. Thankfully work has the WSJ. Forbes has some good science, more free.
I posted my North Alabama chase account in the Tropical section rather than Target Area. Tough call there, but not starting a new thread breaks the tie every time, lol!
Enough. We are tired of hearing users bitch about various media sources, The Washington Post likely being the most commonly demonized, who require payment access to view content. This is how media survives. If you don't want to pay to see their content then assume you will not be able to view the content. Complaining about it derails the thread and is just plain silly. Such discussion is considered off-topic in threads that are not specifically about financial aspects of media companies and will be deleted.
