I've never watched Weather Nation, but I'm not impressed with their social media accounts. During a recent storm system that came thru DFW, they where tweeting viewer submitted pics of a "wedge tornado" that was clearly the underside of a shelf cloud to anyone in the know. To be fair it was a fair imposter, and there was a tornado about 40 miles south of where the pics where taken. But I guess I just hold accounts like these to a higher standard.
Honestly Wx Nation social media is a disaster. Actual streaming broadcast is way better. I wonder if they are totally separate walled off entities. Think Wall Street Journal and their Opinion page, no cross communication. Promotes independent thinking for a newspaper. I'm not sure it's so great for a weather outfit.
I'll be honest, I never realized Weather Nation was a legitimate entity that did any sort of broadcasting. All I had ever seen was the aforementioned social media posts. It always seemed like one of those sensationalist weather reporting outlets looking for views and ad revenue.
